Eucharist and Evening Services
Our regular Sunday morning Eucharist services last just over an hour. Eucharist means the great thanksgiving (the big thank you to God) and includes songs and hymns, prayers, readings from the Bible, followed by sharing bread and wine together, as Jesus did with his disciples at the Last Supper. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never been to church before or have not been for a long time – you are always welcome at any of our churches.
Children are always welcome and there are children’s groups most weeks at all our churches, except for once a month when the children stay in church for a more relaxed all-together service.
Baptisms at St Richard’s and St James’ are usually performed at 11.30am or you are welcome to choose to have your baptism as part of the morning service at all our churches.
The parish also offers evening prayer each Sunday at 6.00pm at St James’.
If you want to know more about coming along to any of our services please do contact us.
